Online Textbook and Equipment Adoption Form

12 weeks prior to the beginning of the next semester the ‘Online Textbook and Equipment Adoption Form’ must be completed and submitted electronically to the book store vendor. The online form can be accessed by going to the Faculty Staff page of the College website and clicking on Book Adoption Form.

  1. The Online Textbook and Equipment Adoption Form will be automatically sent via web form to the appropriate staff member(s) working for the book store vendor for processing. Copies will also be sent to divisional administrative assistants, divisional academic deans, and the TCH Librarian.
  2. The Online Textbook and Equipment Adoption Form will be processed by the book store vendor. Note that when and where necessary appropriate faculty may be contacted via email for final confirmation of selected textbooks and/or equipment.
  3. Faculty not submitting 12 weeks prior may find that used books cannot be located. The 12-week length of time provides the book store vendor plenty of time to find lower cost options for students. Bear in mind, used textbooks and equipment are based on availability and not guaranteed.
  4. Unless specified otherwise, adjunct instructors/part-time instructors are required to use course texts as identified by the divisional deans and/or course coordinators. These faculty members should work with their appropriate academic dean.
  5. Faculty desiring that reserved copies of textbooks or other resources be available in The Christ Hospital James N. Gamble Library for students, should note this on the Online Textbook and Equipment Adoption Form. The library and institution will not automatically order reserve copies for courses offered at the college.
