Special Notes

Students wishing to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree after earning their Associate of Applied Science in Nursing must meet the following admissions requirements for the RN-BSN Completion Program:

  • Successful completion of Associate of Applied Science in Nursing
  • Cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • An active, unencumbered RN licensure (new graduates are allowed to take one semester of RN-BSN curriculum before earning licensure).

The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing curriculum is presented below. The RN-BSN Completion program can be completed as a full time student over 3 semester or as a part time student over 6 semesters. Both curriculum outlines can be found online on the RN-BSN Completion Program page*.

*All students must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours to earn a Bachelor degree in nursing. Students who do not transfer any coursework will need to complete up to an additional 7 credit hours of elective courses at The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences to satisfy this requirement prior to program completion.

Admissions Criteria

First-Time College Student

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.75 or earned a general equivalency diploma (GED) with a score of 530 or higher (score of 53 prior to 2002)
  2. Official ACT score of 19 or higher -OR- SAT score of 1300 or higher (on the 2400 scale), 950 or higher (on the 1600 scale)
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (ALONG WITH COMPLETED APPLICATION):

  • Official, sealed high school transcript/GED score
    • High school seniors must submit their current transcript at time of application and final transcript after graduation
    • All transcripts originating in a foreign country must be translated and evaluated by World Educational Services for a course by course level evaluation and calculated cumulative GPA (www.wes.org)
  • ACT or SAT scores
    • ACT/SAT requirement is waived if you have successfully completed 12 or more college semester hours

Transfer Student/Second Degree Seeker

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum cumulative college GPA of at least a 2.75
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Official, sealed high school transcript/GED score
  • ALL official, sealed college transcripts
    • All transcripts originating in a foreign country must be translated and evaluated by World Educational Services for a course by course level evaluation and calculated cumulative GPA (www.wes.org)
