Associate of Science in General Studies
The Associate of Science in General Studies degree is a good option for a student who is seeking a two-year degree that will give them a strong foundation in the Liberal Arts and Sciences. Graduates of this program will be well-positioned to continue their education at the Bachelor’s degree level at The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences or an institution of their choice.
This degree will also benefit numerous health care professionals who have earned a certification in their desired profession and are seeking to add an accredited degree behind their name. Whether you are a Medical Assistant, Community Paramedic, or a Patient Care Assistant, the Associate of Science in General Studies degree is a great option to further your education.

Admissions Criteria
First-Time College Student
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.0 or a GED with a score of 530 or higher (score of 53 prior to 2002)
- Official ACT score of 19 or higher -OR- SAT score of 1300 or higher (on the 2400 scale), 950 or higher (on the 1600 scale)
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (ALONG WITH COMPLETED APPLICATION(LINK)):
- Official, sealed high school transcript/GED score
- Transcripts can be emailed from the originating institution
- Please note, high school seniors must submit their current transcript at the time of application and final transcript after graduation.
- ACT or SAT scores (if applicable)
Transfer Student/Second Degree Seeker
(Must be high school graduate with 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of completed college coursework)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum cumulative college GPA of at least a 2.0
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (ALONG WITH COMPLETED APPLICATION(LINK)):
- ALL official, sealed college transcripts
- Transcripts can be emailed from the originating institution
- All transcripts originating in a foreign country must be translated and evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). This includes but is not limited to World Education Services (http://www.wes.org/), Foreign Academic Credential Service (www.facsusa.com), and Global Credential Evaluators (www.gceus.com). A full list of members can be found at www.naces.org/members. The transfer credit evaluation report must be submitted directly to TCCNHS. Appropriate and complete documentation is required for full consideration of any transfer credit. Transfer credit will only be evaluated based upon an official transcript.
