The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is a traditional 4 year program with a diverse clinical format that includes acute, long-term and community care. There are numerous benefits to this program, including a clinically intensive 4th year. A professional development focus and additional time to prepare for the NCLEX, coupled with traditional curriculum pacing, make this a great fit for first-time college students and those desiring a fully-immersed healthcare education.

All students must complete 60 credit hours of coursework at TCCNHS as part of the residency requirement.

Admissions Criteria

REQUIREMENTS:

First-Time College Student:

  • Minimum cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.75 or a GED with a score of 530 (score of 53 prior to 2002)
  • Official ACT or SAT score report (ACT Code: 3252; SAT code 2200) *no minimum score, but must be submitted
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident

Transfer or Second Degree Seeker:

(Must be a high school graduates with 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of completed college coursework to apply following these requirements)

  • Minimum cumulative college GPA of at least a 2.75 or higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED (ALONG WITH COMPLETED APPLICATION)

First-Time College Student:

  • Official, sealed high school transcript/GED score

Please note, high school seniors must submit their current transcript at time of application and final transcript after graduation

  • Official ACT or SAT score report (submit separately only if not included on your official high school transcript)

Transfer or Second Degree Student:

  • ALL official college transcripts

*All transcripts originating in a foreign country must be translated and evaluated by World Educational Services for a course by course level evaluation and calculated cumulative GPA (www.wes.org)

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:

Provisional support documents are optional to include with application, unless:

  • GPA is below a 2.75 cumulative
  • ACT score is (17) or below

Accepted supporting documents include: resume, reference letter(s), personal essay, portfolio of civic or extracurricular achievements and standardized test scores. If required for your application, please submit at least (2) supporting documents.
