Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Cardiovascular

Admissions Process:
Our Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Cardiovascular program is a competitive admission, space limited program. Enrollment into this program is available in Fall semester only.
Minimum Admissions Requirements for consideration:
- 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA
- TEAS score submitted (register to take TEAS)
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Completion of following prerequisite college courses with a grade of “C” or higher*:
- Anatomy & Physiology I (BIO 111)
- Introductory Physics (PHY 105)
- College Algebra (MAT 105)
- English Composition (ENG 101)
- Learning Foundations (FYE 102)
Learning Foundations is waived for students who have completed (15) or more hours of college credit
*Applicants can apply for admissions consideration without all prerequisites completed; however, priority will be given to applicants with them completed. If accepted and missing prerequisite coursework, a Summer Preparation Phase with us will be required to complete the missing prerequisite(s). A grade of a “C” or higher in all prerequisite coursework is required to begin DMS program.

High school transcript only required if applicant a current high school student OR a high school graduate with less than 12 semester hours of college completed
- Official TEAS score report
*All transcripts originating in a foreign country must be translated and evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). This includes but is not limited to World Education Services (http://www.wes.org/), Foreign Academic Credential Service (www.facsusa.com), and Global Credential Evaluators (www.gceus.com). A full list of members can be found at www.naces.org/members. The transfer credit evaluation report must be submitted directly to TCCNHS. Appropriate and complete documentation is required for full consideration of any transfer credit. Transfer credit will only be evaluated based upon an official transcript.
